Dear LaLa

Thank you LaLa for the new panties and for all the things you do for me. Here is a drawing of me showing how fun it is to have presents. I love you .

Peeling Back the Layers

Annie and I just returned from a wonderful road trip to LA to hang out with LaLa and the new kittens. I enjoyed the travel part more than I thought I would and I LOVED being with LaLa and Annie! Thank you Pat! We'll be back soon. And we'll stay longer if you can take it.

I did this months Virtual Sketch Date while away. Annie wasn't interested in painting this image. She said she really wants to choose what to paint. I don't blame her. It was a tricky, very contrasty image . If I had had more time, I would have taken time to do a variety of approaches, sketches, mediums and had some more fun.

A Layer of Love

I added a few songs that will play while you are here visiting MakingPeace that I'm hoping will increase your blogging pleasure. I will add a few more when I make the time. There are a few blogs I enjoy that add music and I like it because I don't seek out new music on my own very much. I'm aware that musical tastes vary widely, so let me know if any songs make you really happy.

I'm here.

I'm here.
But not all the way.
I'm in a comfortable, dreamy place which is proving pleasurable and yet I'm also going forward in the areas that feel important to me. For 2009 I'm really wanting to stay connected to enjoyment, fun, and pleasure. I am in the habit of putting many "should's" before pausing to enjoy, so I am trying a different way! I'm slowing down the voice in my head, and prioritizing enjoying my life. I believe myself to be thorough, timely, and on-top-of-it so I'm pretty sure I will accomplish the things I want to. Hopefully with more joy and relaxation.

Deep, deep contented breath...
...and another...

Into the Woods

There is nothing I like better than to be in the woods. Especially when it's damp. And especially with people I love. I think it's the breathing, looking, hearing, and feeling which is so raw and unadorned that brings everything back to center for me.

Alongside Grandma and Grandpa we foraged, took a few new trails and climbed high looking for the view. We found it under a tall stand of eucalyptus and it was wonderful. It was the damp shoes and pant legs that finally drove us home where we got back in our cozy hibernating clothes and had dinner.
